AM I ELIGIBLE?

A pregnant person is eligible to join this study if they-

  1. Are 12-24 weeks pregnant and expecting baby to be born in Queensland, Australia.

  2. And their partner, if they have one, takes part.

  3. Understand the patient information (click here)

  4. Fill in online surveys about physical health and wellbeing sent to them for convenience over their pregnancy

We stand for inclusivity and include all families, no matter what your family may look like

ONLINE SURVEYS

We have created an online platform which asks questions about you and your partner (if you have one), throughout your pregnancy.

With your consent at the time of enrolment between 12-24 weeks, we will send you online questionnaires to your email for your convenience at 24, 28 and 36 weeks pregnant, just after birth and 6 weeks after your baby is born.

Later, with your consent, we will ask health related questions about your child as they grow.

RESEARCH AREA

Our team of scientists and clinician-researchers will evaluate and translate findings into policy and practices that will support future families living in Queensland.

Our research themes are aimed to understand how to live a healthy long-life in Queensland. This includes sleep, mental health, exercise, nutrition, chronic disease and types of medications used by your family.

HOW WILL MY DATA BE USED?

We ask for your consent to fill in online surveys. Your family's data will be deidentified so it remains anonymous. It will form part of a bank of data.

Researchers can request to use your anonymous data after further ethics and governance approval, to look at different research questions that will help better understand family health and influence Queensland policies and procedures.
