The Handy Guide

The Handy Guide of Women’s Support Services was developed by The Lady Musgrave Trust to help women experiencing homelessness or domestic and family violence connect with support services across Queensland.

Brisbane Youth Service

Brisbane Youth Service provides support programs for young women, young families, young dads who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. ​

 

Call to make an appointment with a youth worker on 3620 2400. Or walk in without an appointment from 1 to 4 pm, Monday to Friday at 518 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley.

Leaders in women’s health, gender equity and the primary prevention of violence in Queensland. Providing counselling, therapeutic groups and health services for women and gender-diverse people, as well as health promotion, community programs,  professional education, and systems change. 

1800 4 WOMEN (1800 496 636) provides free phone counselling for women in Queensland.

13 HEALTH—Health advice over the phone

13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84) is a confidential phone service that provides health advice to Queenslanders. You can phone and talk to a registered nurse 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the cost of a local call.
