WHAT IS THE QUEENSLAND FAMILY COHORT STUDY?

The Queensland Family Cohort, is an Australian research program dedicated to understanding the health of children and their families, the causes of disease, and providing benefit to the Australian community. We consist of three pillars.

UNDERSTANDING HEALTH NEEDS OF QUEENSLAND FAMILIES

Happy Family in Nature

We aim to do this through:

  • health assessments of mothers, partners and children over time

  • a dedicated children's biobank

  • cutting edge technologies

  • inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families

  • inclusion of rural/remote families
